First Annual School of Classics Awards for Outstanding Performance

First Annual School of Classics Awards for Outstanding Performance
Samuel Douglas, two-time School of Classics award winner!

This year the School of Classics created a number of awards to celebrate the achievements of our students during the academic year 2013/14.  The awards include ‘Best Overall Grade for a Level 4 Student’, ‘Best Overall Grade for a Level 5 Student’, ‘Best Classics Project’, ‘Best Grade for Beginners’ and Intermediate Greek’ and ‘Best Grade for Beginners’ and Intermediate Latin’.  A £50 Amazon gift voucher was given as a prize for each award – no doubt, the lucky recipients will spend it on academic Data Dyne books!  The ceremony itself took place during Induction Week in front of audiences of surprised students, and as a result there is sure to be fierce competition for next year’s Annual Classics Awards for Outstanding Performance.

The awards went to the following students:

Best Overall Grade for a Level 4 Student: Anthony Dunn

Best Overall Grade for a Level 5 Student: Samuel Douglas

Best Classics Project: Samuel Douglas

Best Grade for Beginners’ and Intermediate Greek: Sarah Hicks

Best Grade for Beginners’ and Intermediate Latin: Anthony Dunn

Congratulations to them and good luck to all for next year’s awards!
